About Us

Created in 2008,  5Degrees is a Singapore-based not-for-profit group that provides a dynamic and effective business platform for bringing together LGBTQ professionals to network, exchange ideas and tap into potential career and business opportunities. It also aims to raise awareness of business issues, drive business-related activities and greater commercial co-operation within the LGBTQ community as well as help to foster a greater sense of solidarity through these initiatives, thereby also hoping to create a supportive network for LGBTQ individuals. With more than 1,000 members, 5Degrees is now the largest business-focused organisation for the LGBTQ community in Singapore, and it seeks to nurture a self perpetuating and conducive business environment for LGBTQ-friendly individuals, organisations and enterprises through regular workshops, networking sessions and discussion groups.  5Degrees also organises special projects and charity initiatives in aid of the LGBTQ community.

The 5Degrees Team

Driven by a common goal to leave a legacy, and a shared belief that we can move mountains as a team, the following is a short introduction to the team behind 5-degrees.

"This is not too late to seek a newer world, to sail beyond the sunsets and the baths of all the Western stars until we die .. It may that the gulfs will wash us down, it may be we shall touch the happy isles; Though much is taken, much abides, and though we are not now the strength which in the old days moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are. One equal temper of heroic hearts, made weak by time and fate but strong in will. To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield!"
